Fine tuning an old classic.
Saddlebags
have been around forever. I'm not one to break with tradition, but I
felt there were a few issues that needed improvement. Our Large Bag
comes with a leather "stand-off" that angles the bag to a more upright
position, which addresses 3 problems:
- Minimizes "thigh rub"--brushing your legs against the bag.
- Helps prevent valuables from falling out of the pockets.
- Keeps the bag off the brake cable and seat post clamp.
An internal stiffener works in conjunction with the
stand-off to stop the bag from collapsing around the seatpost area. The
stiffener also prevents the bag from sagging and rubbing the tire.
At 6 liters, this bag is compact sized and I would consider it a "smallish" large. Mounting straps are designed for Brooks
saddles with bag loops.
